The first half of the course develops skills and knowledge necessary to address community needs using a police-community partnership. Emphasis will be placed on problem solving in specific scenarios. The second half of the course develops skills and knowledge to deal with people in crisis. Major projects in this course include completing a problem solving exercise, conducting a security survey and handling a crisis scenario.
